Columbia/Barnard Earth Coalition (CU EarthCo, for short!) is Columbia University’s oldest environmental group comprising two initiatives: CU EarthCo and Earth Tutors.
EarthCo combines student activism with on-campus environmental interests to host outreach and education events for the student body, the University administration, and the local community.
Earth Tutors is a weekly tutoring and mentoring program for middle school students interested in environmental issues. On Fridays at PS 36, Earth Tutors offers students environmental workshops and lessons that tie back into their earth science classes. It seeks to engage students in school and inspire them to lead environmentally responsible lives.
EarthCoalition meets Monday nights at 8 p.m. in 318 Hamilton.
